Brief CV

Ms. Dalton, a lawyer by training, has worked for consulting firms, companies, governments and international development agencies in the natural resources sector, particularly in mining and petroleum. In the past fifteen years she has been actively involved in advising developing countries and economies-in-transition on legal, regulatory, administrative and institutional matters relating to natural resources, energy, and environment. She has worked in over thirty countries on every continent. As a result, she has experience in dealing with legal, commercial, taxation, regulation, contractual and institutional matters in many different legal and political systems. She is an experienced negotiator and has drafted laws, regulations and administrative procedures and is recognized by the World Bank, United Nations, OECD, and other development agencies as a top expert in mining and petroleum legal, regulatory and administrative regimes. Ms. Dalton has designed, developed and facilitated workshops in several countries. She has skills in facilitation of issues and in public speaking.
